Gosport Alleyways – Accessible Street & Tech Workshop 10 September

Sunday 10 September at Imagination Refinery, High Street, Gosport

Are you a budding technology creative? This third workshop is for you. It focuses on making and animating, using technology. These workshops are part of the Arts Council-funded project ‘Alleyways of Gosport’, a unique celebration of this special place.

This extraordinary workshop is shared by two artists. Gavin Hodson Director of City Arts Portsmouth, artist and teacher, who enjoys making and sharing permanent and temporary art experiences for all ages and abilities to investigate the world around us through collaboration. He will lead participants to build, draw, chat and stick their way through the session to assemble a high street where people would love to spend their time together. They can then add that special sense of place.

And Thomas Buckley – a creative technologist will share their approach to technology and how to hack and combine different accessible technologies to develop ideas for new artworks. The participants can expect to explore light projection and scale and have the opportunity to find out how large public art commissions are designed and realised. This is a must-attend for budding creatives

Two sessions: 11am – 12pm & 12pm – 1pm.
